After having actually survived the long flight home, here are the latest updates, late night on 20 Jan.2007:
The internet connections in the hotels in China are dreadfully slow. I can only read e-mails, but NO replies, let alone any uploading of photos. As I have learned later that the entire region's internet service was affected by the recent earthquake in Taiwan.

After a 3-week trek in China (2 weeks with HRH (Harrison Robin Hui), Week One was spent relaxing in Shanghai), it's nice to be home from Hefei, via Beijing. The Holiday Inn in Hefei was fabulously child-friendly. We're also thankful for the close proximity to the pedestrian mall where everything is at-hand.
Instead of making the 6-hour roundtrip between Hefei and Maanshan (MAS), we'd paid a visit to the Hefei SWI (Social Welfare Institute), a similar but bigger operation. We'll save the visit to MAS SWI when Harrison is a little older, which will be more meaningful to him.
The medical & the Canadian Travel Visa proceedings went well in Beijing on the following week, but we felt that Harrison was more comfortable to simply stay in. Luckily, there were food outlets of every description within walking distance from our hotel in BJ; so daddy was delegated to deliver takeouts back to the hotel room, for the most part.
We are familiar to all of the shopping areas in BJ; so, in addition to shopping, our challenge was to make new discoveries of the trendy Hong Kong style teahouse/cafe for the really cool luncheons.
On the Sunday in BJ, we did manage to get out for the Sunday Worship Service at a theatre, where Harrison was well-behaved at the nursery for the 2 hours. However, for the long flight home, he was not only a trooper; he was a fighter. HRH fought for every ounce of freedom, every awaken moment during the flight. Fortunately, there was a 6-y-o girl, a newly adopted WAITING CHILD, traveling with her mother--a lady-doctor from B.C. on the same flight, who played the part of a big-sister perfectly for Harrison.
Now, the nitty-gritty of parenting begins. You may join us in prayers for parental wisdom, patience, and love.

Yes, indeed, Harrison is a beautiful baby and our heartiest congratulations to your family.
I just found your blog, through the Christian China Adopt group, and always love to read the stories of new families being created through adoption.
We have three biological sons (a pre-teen and two teens) and have recently adopted our sweet baby girl, who lights up the entire household and has her three big brothers acting like drooling idiots over every little bat of her eyelashes. God is Good! We are rejoicing with you in your adoption of precious Harrison (love the initials, by the way...our sweet baby's initials are KGB, which the boys think is hysterical!)

Thank you for sharing your journey to you son with us. We traveled to China March 2006 to bring our daughter home.
